The Annual Tabaka Christmas Party

This was our second year attending our friends the Tabaka's Christmas Party. We were excited to go - it was such a fun time last year. We all got dressed up and went to the Mount Vernon Country Club for the festivities.Chrissy is very good to me and supportive of my business so she ordered her holiday cookies from me again this year and I was happy with the way they turned out. They went fast so I think everyone else liked them too!The room looked beautiful and there was a large window decorated with a Christmas tree in front of it. Chrissy planned every detail, down to the soft falling snow outside that gave the whole party a cozy ambiance. It was very picturesque. The buffet was delicious and they also had a face painter and a caricature artist for the kids and loads of crafts for the kids to do as well as activity books on all the tables. At noon, Santa came to see the kids and Jasmine got very excited. I was a bit scared thinking she might notice that he looked quite different from the Santa we had seen the previous evening but she did well and I don't think she knew. She reiterated that she wanted the Sleeping Beauty doll and the Moxie girl and Santa asked her if she had been good and gave her a little bag of M&Ms.Jasmine was having a lot of fun running around and playing with her friends, especially AJ. The only thing was that AJ wanted to play with his guy friends and Jasmine wanted his attention so she went into the hall where they were wrestling and got in on it too - in her party dress. She got a bit rough too and we were called in to remove her from the situation. Let me tell you how embarrassing it is when you have to pry your daughter away from her boy crush and she throws a fit.She got over it and eventually apologized but it always makes me nervous to think that if she can't control herself, people won't want to play with her. She has a great personality and is an amazing child and loving too but sometimes that bossy and rude side comes out and I hope it doesn't overshadow who she really is.We had fun spending time with Tabakas and our friends and neighbors the Traugers as well. We saw others we knew and it was a wonderful time. We feel honored to have such lovely friends and love that they share their holiday traditions with us.
