Spring Break - Day 10

So on our last day in California, we went to Legoland.  It was a pretty cool place but I think I preferred Disney.  The kids again had fun riding rides, eating treats and enjoying being together with the cousins from afar.
When we had had our fill of the park, we decided to take a quick drive to the San Diego Temple so we could see it and also to say goodbye to the family as it was our last day in California.
It was so very nice to see them and be able to spend time with them and show the girls a place they had never been to.  I was also so happy for the girls to meet my friends and their children as well.
I am so happy that we had the chance to take this vacation and I am so grateful to Lorne for making it happen for us.

Spring Break - Day 9

We were so lucky to be able to spend Easter in California with friends and some of our Australian family. The Slusser Family was very generous in sharing their Easter with us.
We hid the kids Easter baskets and they had to hunt for where the Easter Bunny had left them.  I had planned and prepared well and had purchased all the things I needed in Virginia and shipped them to myself in California so I wouldn't have to figure out how to go shopping when the girls were with me every minute.

We then prepared to go to church and the girls looked amazing in their Easter dresses.  I couldn't help but have a little photo shoot with them.

After church, we prepared food in anticipation of the arrival of the Blair Campbell family for Easter dinner.  The kids did an Easter egg hunt and found all of the eggs.

Dinner was delicious.  We had frog eye salad, ham, rolls, funeral potatoes and green salad.  For dessert, we had trifle and cookies.  It was delicious and fun!  All of the families got along really well and we even spent some time Facetiming with Lorne to try and include him in our festivities.
