Viva Las Vegas Day 2

Lorne had to get up super early on our second day as he had a conference call that was scheduled for 8 AM East Coast time. That made it 5 AM in Vegas. This made it so that by 8 AM in Vegas he was ready to go and explore and I was trying to wake up after having gone to bed at 3 AM. This made me a bit grouchy but I got over it.Lorne loves to go to Paris, Paris for breakfast when he is in Vegas and so he wanted to take me there so I could experience something he loves. When we walked inside Paris Paris, I was amazed at what they had done in there. It looked like you were in Paris with the cute little buildings and cobble stone walkways. The Eiffel tower they have outside actually has part of it inside the hotel. It was amazing. Of course, we walked through the casino, which they do not have in Paris. We ate at this cute little cafe inside the hotel and had a delicious omelet that we shared and some croissants that we also shared. The food was very good and I really enjoyed sitting there and soaking in the culture of Vegas.Vegas is as tacky as you expect it to be and sparkly and enticing. It is also very consumer driven and there is no shortage of things to do. It is a place that feels very alive and so I liked it very much. Even though we aren't gamblers or drinkers, we found there is still tons to do.After breakfast, I played my first slots in Vegas. As I said, we aren't gamblers but when we go to a Casino, we play to lose. We see the money we put it as an investment in fun and fully expect to lose it. We each played $2-$3 and then headed back to the Bellagio to meet up with Neil and Di.We spent the next several hours exploring the Strip. We went into so many hotels to check them out, see what they had to offer. All the hotels are massive and different. I loved just walking around and seeing what some enterprising people had done with their money. We went into Cesar's Palace, The Mirage and The Venetian. They had amazing shops in Cesar's Palace, everything from Chanel, Coach, Tiffany's, Luis Vuitton to Gap and Abercrombie & Fitch. Every expensive designer you could think of has a shop there and I quickly fell in love with a Coach bag that sadly I did not get to buy. We saw a nice replica of the Trevi Fountain and a free fountain show complete with fire.We had a light lunch in the Mirage at Carnegie Deli and wanted to see the Tigers but didn't want to pay the entrance fee. So we walked over to the Venetian and strolled through that massive hotel. I wanted to ride the Gondola but Lorne didn't seem keen on it. They had a lot more shops there to look at so we did that and strolled. We took a nap in the afternoon and gussied ourselves up for a nice evening out. We went to see Zumanity at New York. Zumanity is a Cirque de Soleil show about the sensual side of life. It was an amazing show. I didn't know people could bend that way! I know I certainly can't.We had a delicious Italian dinner afterwards and spent time chatting and having a really enjoyable time. I also tried my hand at Blackjack and lasted at the table for 10 minutes before I lost my $10. I had promised my grandma I would give it a go since it is her favorite game!

If I went to Las Vegas it would be to see Cirque du Soleil shows. Not Zumanity though.
Sounds like you had fun!
