Our Anniversary Dinner

Saturday, July 26th was our anniversary and so we took a moment to have a nice dinner together before hosting a going away party for The Childs. We went to a little restaurant near our house on Route 1 called Mike's. It is an Italian restaurant and it has been recommended by several people who live near us and we had never had a chance to try it before.
The restaurant looks a bit sad on the outside but it soon changes when you walk inside. It is really pretty inside and they play classical music so the atmosphere is also nice. We ordered some Gnocchi in pesto sauce as an appetizer and it was delicious. For our main meal I had manicotti and Lorne had an alfredo type dish. Both were excellent. While the desserts looked good, we didn't partake as we would be eating a lot of dessert at the get together later on.
We did give each other some gifts. I bought Lorne the Wii Fit and Mario Kart (also for the Wii). Lorne bought me jewelry, a bracelet that I had pointed out to him that I liked in a magazine many months ago. It was a nice and quick celebration. We felt we had been celebrating for a while so it was perfect.
