Roman's 2nd Birthday Party...

Our nephew Roman turned 2 years old on July 9th and so that Sunday they had a birthday party for him. Of course we were invited and even though we had to skip church to go, our family is worth it and life is about family and making memories. We had to attend and attend we did.
It was held at Casey's house and they had some kiddie water fun in the front yard where the kids could splash around and play and have a grand old time.Jasmine loves the water and she was in on all the fun. She was the oldest child there and sometimes had to be reminded to be gentle around the younger children but she had a good time nevertheless.
The family was there in force and we had a chance to sit and chat and keep each other company. Soon it was time for cake and presents and so we all went inside where Roman blew out the candles on his Silver Surfer cake - made by you know who and the figurine on top was our gift to him as he is a big Silver Surfer fan.I got some precious photos of the cousins together before we left and can't believe how precious they are together. I am so glad that Jasmine gets to grow up alongside her cousin like we grew up with ours. It is a bond that I still hold dear and am so grateful I had a chance to cultivate from childhood into adulthood.
