Easter Morning

We spent a lot of time making sure Jasmine understood the meaning of Easter and why we celebrated it. I must say, she really got a good understanding. We read her a book I bought called the first Easter and then we used the pictures in the Gospel Art Picture Kit to show her some more detail. She really paid attention to the story and can retell it very well. I am so glad we took the time to make sure she understood that the holiday isn't about bunnies and chocolate, although we still incorporate that as well.The Easter bunny left baskets for Mommy, Daddy and Jasmine and when Jasmine came into the living room, she was super excited to check out her basket. I even relented and let her eat candy before breakfast (the rule is she usually doesn't get candy before lunch so this was especially different!).I set the timer and took a family picture. It is funny because we all look a bit sleepy and crumpled but that is what I like about the picture!
