My Ava is 7 Months Old!

I can't believe that Ava is now 7 months old - it seems like yesterday that she joined our family. She is such a joy and a delight to have in our home and we are so pleased to watch her grow into a most beautiful little one.
With all the swine flu going around, I wasn't able to schedule her 6 month check-up until the day she turned 7 months so all the stats I should have had last month, are going to be reported on this update. Our little Ava is a peanut like her sister was at this age. She weighs 12 lbs. 9 oz. which puts her in the 25th percentile. She is a petite one right now and they measured her head 3 times to make sure they had the right number. She is in the 10th percentile for height. The Doctor didn't seem worried but wants to see a bit more weight gain during the next appointment. As far as age milestones and development, Ava is doing all that she should be doing and that puts me at ease.

Here are some things our little Ava is doing now -
Ava says the syllables Ba, Da, Aba, Ada and blow raspberries
Ava can sit up unassisted for more than 5 seconds
She is still wearing a size 2 diaper
She is wearing 6 month clothes
She still has crystal blue eyes
She is reaching and trying to touch everything and put it in her mouth
Her face lights up when someone smiles at her
She recognizes her name and will turn when someone says it or calls her
She is a mama's girl and always wants to be with me if I am in the room
She is still nursing but eats solid foods 3 times a day
She doesn't seem to care for carrots too much
She is in the middle of applying for her first passport
She sleeps from 10 PM until 8 AM straight
