Signing the Lease for our new Bakery!

Well, the landlord and our broker finally got their acts together and we signed a lease on the space we have been looking at for over 6 months. We actually signed on October 28. This has made it about a year and a half we have been in the market for a space and since our demands were so specific, it narrowed down our choices. We are quite happy with the space we got and super excited to get going and open.
We drove out to Sterling VA to sign the lease (it was more than an hour drive from our house) and it really didn't take long to get it all in order.Lorne signed the documents and I signed the first month's rent check. It felt good to know we had earned all that money making cakes but it was hard to write such a big check at once. It was like writing a mortgage check! Jasmine was excited to watch the process and she got a little pumpkin from Dale Hoxie (our broker) and she was super excited about that.We took a few pics and then went on our way, knowing we would be getting the keys a few days later.
