Baby Loves Disco

I was told about a great program called Baby Loves Disco that they hold in cities all over the US and it happens about once a month. They were holding this event in Washington DC at a place called the Rock N Roll Hotel which I think may have been a hotel a long time ago and is now a nightclub. Anyhow, I got Jasmine and I tickets to go and I was prepared for Jasmine to absolutely have a ball. The only problem was that this was after she had gone and had a blast at Ellie and Annie's birthday party and was a bit tired. When we arrived she seemed excited and when we walked in it was amazing, how they had things set up. They had a DJ that plays disco music and so there is a dance floor for the kids complete with a bubble machine, hula hoops, scarves, and shakers. The kids can dance to their hearts content.

In addition, they have all kinds of food at the bar for the kids and adults. They have juice boxes lined up fr them and bowls of snacks everywhere with pretzels, cookies, goldfish - all the kid friendly finger foods you can imagine. This place had an upstairs too where they had a full spread for the adults and drinks for adults. They also had a balloon artist that created free creations for the kids, a massage guy who was giving moms a massage, coloring tables, and so much more.Jasmine tried so hard to enjoy it but she was so tired. It got to the point about an hour in that she actually said she had had enough and that she wanted to go home and come back some other time after she could sleep. I think I will take her some other time but I will make sure she has had time to be well rested and that is the only activity she has that day!
