Saint Pats Fun

First of all - Top o' the morning to you all - we had a blarney blast celebrating this fun Irish holiday this year. The festivities began early for Jasmine. Since this week is Spring Break (yes, even for preschool), the class did their Saint Patrick's Day party last Thursday the 13th. Jasmine wore her cute green shirt, which I was a big fan of because it says, Kiss me I am American (none of us are Irish so it works). I made some shamrock sugar cookies for the class and they made cute hats. I got to bring Marin home with us that day and the girls lunch some McDonalds. It is cute to watch their little friendship blossom (more on that later). Saturday we had our annual Saint Patrick's Day party. We do this every year. Even though we aren't Irish, the party still rocks with good food and friends. We decided that if we focus on having parties on Halloween and Saint Pats, we get a better attendance than if we try to squeeze in a Christmas party. So far so good - we had great attendance. We ate green food (thanks everyone for your contribution) and watched the movie The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns. It was interesting, not great but entertaining enough. I was just happy to spend time with everyone. Today we went to visit Abuela Meme and took her some green cupcakes and had lunch with her. She was so happy to see us and we laughed a lot. Then tonight, we went out to dinner to Bennigans where we were hoping for some corned beef and cabbage (too bad they ran out before we got there). Nevertheless, we ate some pretty good food amid the lousy service and had a nice time as a family. We hope you all did as well and if you couldn't make it to the Saint Patty's day party this year, we await you next year!
