Jasmine loves Chevy's Fresh Mex Restaurant and she always asks to go there - mainly because they give all the kids a piece of tortilla dough and the kids get to play with it like it is playdough before dinner. I am sure she likes the food also, but she just loves getting the dough.
Her class had a field trip there a month earlier but she had been sent home from school because she had pink eye (see the violin recital post). She cried and my heart broke for her because she was so incredibly sad. I told her we would take her there for dinner to make up for missing the field trip.
It is no surprise then that this is where we went for Jasmine's birthday dinner. Marcia joined us and also my parents and Abuela Meme. We had a nice full table. Jasmine was super excited and had a great time.
Her favorite part was when they sang her Happy Birthday and she got to put on a Mexican hat - and then they said she could have it and take it home! She was super stoked about that.
After dinner - we came home and let Jasmine open her gifts from us. We like to do this vefore the birthday party because she gets so much at her partis, we like to make sure she knows what is from us. This year, she got a big girl bicycle. She was so excited! She also got to open her gifts from Ouma and Grandfather in Australia and she especially loved the hair clips.
I think she had a great birthday and of course she is looking forward to her birthday party!
