Jasmine First Talk in Primary!

I was surprised Jasmine was asked to give a talk this past Sunday as she is new to Primary - as of January and usually they wait until the young ones are more acclimated before asking them to speak. Jasmine was very excited and I helped her by writing the talk and helping her practice before church. It was also exciting because my parents came to see her speak and daddy was also there (he took the video). The topic for her talk was Heavenly Father sent me to an eternal family on Earth.
As you will see in the video, Jasmine did an amazing job for the first time ever giving a talk in front of other people. She was loud and pronounced her words well and didn't seem nervous at all. Looks like she got mom and dad's genes when it comes to speaking in public. Enjoy the video and I provided the transcript below so you can read the talk (it is harder to understand on video than it was live).

Jasmine's First Primary Talk
February 15, 2009

We are all sent to Earth to learn and grow so we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. We are born into families that help us do that together. As we do the things our Heavenly Father and Christ want us to do, our family gets closer to our goal of returning to live with Them.
My Mommy and Daddy were married in the temple before I was born. This means that they are married for eternity and it also means that I can be with them forever too. My parents teach me the things I need to do so we can be together forever.
The Proclamation on the Family says that “families are central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His purpose”. This means that families are the most important part of Heavenly Father's plan and we need to be good and listen in our families.
I am so happy that I have been sent to my family and want to learn so that I can be with them forever. I also know that one day when I am older I will also be married in the temple and create an eternal family of my own.
