Cinnamon Bun Sunday

Lorne's next baking project was to try homemade cinnamon rolls. He found a recipe in one of our cookbooks and gave it a go. Fortunately, they were very pretty but unfortunately the taste was so-so. We believe the recipe just wasn't great as the buns were more like bread rolls than the gooey soft cinnamon rolls we all adore. He has decided to try again and we will use a different recipe next time!

I have found that recipes for raisin bread are a good base for cinnamon buns because the dough is sweet and has the richness from eggs and butter.

We got to partake of these LESS favorite rolls. But not the GOOD ones! We thought these weren't too bad
