The Blizzard of 2010

So it turns out the weatherperson was right - we got hit by a storm and hard! We had about 24 inches of snow out there. We loved it. Life moves so fast in this area and we move fast in our family as well - always running and hardly ever stopping. I love inclement weather because it gives us a chance to stay warm and cozy together and just enjoy everything coming to a halt.
Lorne spent a good part of his day trying to shovel out parts of our driveway. The snow was extremely heavy and coming down very hard and fast. It was quite a workout. Preston had fun helping daddy in his own way.Jasmine was excited to go out in the snow and we wanted Ava to have a chance to play in it too. We carefully dressed the girls to keep them warm and it didn't hurt that they looked absolutely cute at the same time.It was funny when Lorne tried throwing Jasmine into the snow. She landed in the snow but didn't go to deep into it - that is how wet and heavy it was. Ava and I joined in the fun but only stayed out about 20 minutes since we were getting cold and wet.It was a totally fun day and of course we could get to the shop to check it out but we knew no one else was going to try and go either so we relaxed and had fun together.
